What this job involves –
The HSSE (Health, Safety, Security and Environment) Coordinator will serve as a key member of the site level team, providing HSSE leadership, advisory, and management services to client facilities located across the United States. This role is responsible for implementing and maintaining effective HSSE programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, leading safety training initiatives, and fostering a positive safety culture. This is an on-site role, reporting to the HSSE-Manager at the Louisville, KY location.
Your day to day:
Key Responsibilities
Safety Program Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for HSSE requirements and activities at assigned client sitesCommunicate HSSE needs and results to the HSSE Director on a regular basisMaintain comprehensive documentation describing the HSSE program including playbooks, procedures, and regulatory records required by JLL, regulations, and clientsComplete and maintain Hazard/PPE Assessments for all site activitiesCreate and maintain regulatory compliance registers for assigned locationsLead the continued development and refinement of JLL's HSE culture and training programsTraining and Development
Maintain site training matrices for all team membersManage and assign online training requirements for site personnelProvide JLL required training/presentations on specific topics applicable to site employeesEnsure all team members receive appropriate safety training for their rolesIncident Management and Reporting
Ensure proper documentation of accidents, injuries, near misses/good catches, and other safety eventsManage the OSHA 301/300 recordkeeping requirements for assigned sitesServe as Site Administrator for the JLL Incident Management SystemLead or support investigations of HSE events and root cause analysesTrack implementation of corrective actions following incidentsPrepare communications to share lessons learned across site and account operationsCompliance and Quality Assurance
Assist in ensuring compliance with all HSE Sections of the JLL Client Assurance Program (JCAP)Support environmental compliance efforts as specified in JLL/client Master Service Agreements and Statements of WorkSupport site teams in implementing new compliance and best management practices programsConduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify potential hazardsQualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferredMinimum 3-5 years' experience in health, safety, and environmental managementExperience in commercial real estate, facilities management, or similar industry preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong understanding of safety management systems and best practicesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to influence and build relationships with all levels of the organizationProficient in Microsoft Office suite and safety management softwareStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsPhysical Requirements
Ability to move throughout facilities, including climbing ladders, accessing rooftops, mechanical rooms, and other building areasAbility to wear appropriate PPE as requiredValid driver's license with acceptable driving record for travel between sitesMay require lifting up to 25 poundsWorking Conditions
Primary work location at client site(s) Louisville KYMay require travel to multiple locations (up to 25%)May be exposed to various environmental conditions including heat, cold, noise, and dustMay require occasional weekend or after-hours work for emergency responseLocation:
