Operating within a Joint Venture framework for e2x as our HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality) Manager you will be accountable for the leadership, development, and implementation of the HSEQ strategy across the project.
This role ensures all project activities are delivered in accordance with legislative, client, JV, and company requirements.
The HSEQ Manager is a key member of the leadership team, driving a culture of continuous improvement, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
Health & Safety Management
Lead implementation of the project's HSE Management Plan in compliance with WHS legislation, client requirements, and JV policies. Promote a proactive safety culture and lead visible safety leadership across all levels of the project. Oversee hazard identification, risk assessments, and incident investigations, ensuring learnings are captured and shared. Support site-based safety teams with complex risk management and escalation processes.
Environmental Management
Ensure project activities meet environmental obligations under legislation, client contracts, and environmental management plans. Coordinate environmental audits, inspections, and reporting. Liaise with environmental consultants, regulators, and client representatives regarding compliance and approvals.
Quality Management
Oversee implementation of the Quality Management Plan and ensure alignment with ISO 9001 standards. Coordinate internal audits and third-party audits, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement. Ensure all construction and operational activities are undertaken in accordance with approved ITPs, procedures, and specifications.
Systems & Reporting
Manage the HSEQ reporting system, ensuring accurate data capture, trend analysis, and compliance with reporting obligations (including lead and lag indicators). Prepare HSEQ reports for the Project Director, Client, and JV Board. Maintain and improve the integrated management system and project-specific HSEQ documentation.
Leadership & Culture
Lead, coach, and mentor the HSEQ team, including Safety Advisors, Environmental Officers, and Quality Coordinators. Foster a strong culture of accountability, consultation, and empowerment across the workforce. Champion health and wellbeing initiatives across the project workforce.
