HSEQ Advisor

The Role

Seeking safety professionals with a strong background in supporting civil or underground utility works.

This will be a Full-Time Permanent role, with potential night shifts, working within our Utilities division. This role will be servicing projects within the Brisbane CBD, surrounding suburbs and potential travel to regional areas within QLD.

The successful candidate will ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, and quality standards, support ISO and FSC accreditations, and work closely with project teams to drive safety culture, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

 Key Responsibilities:

Develop strong relationships across all levels of the business to effectively influence and implement the SRG Global safety and quality standards and culture of zero harm. Assist with the development of key safety and quality activities. Assist with the preparation of reports, alerts and other safety and quality documentation. Undertake reviews of event reports and assist operations on determining causes and actions to prevent recurrences. Deliver training, inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions. Assist business management with action outcomes from internal and external audits. Undertake, where required, accident investigations for accidents, on-the-job injuries, and other HSE related complaints to determine cause, contributing factors, and corrective action to prevent recurrence. Participate in injury management processes and return-to-work coordination Facilitate internal training programs as required.

The successful applicant will ideally have:

2-3 years experience within an on-site Safety role. Exposure to quality and environment controls on site. Experience within the underground utilities space is highly desirable. Certificate IV in WHS (minimum). Formal incident investigation qualification (ICAM Beneficial). Cert IV in Training and Assessment (Desirable). Current driver’s license. Good working knowledge of WHS Legislation. Safety management system experience. Strong communication and people skills. Strong computer and systems skills and knowledge.
