The HSE Training Manager will be responsible for managing the process for the design, development and deployment of high quality and effective Corporate HSE (SAFECOR-applicable) HSEQ curricula.  This position supports the company’s various business units, utilizing SAFECOR and the Group’s corporate platforms and will leverage relationships with the Americas HR Center of Excellence content creator training professionals and as needed external training content creators to develop this training.  

The HSE Training Manager will utilize their experience and expertise with developing, updating and launching training programs to drive end user and customer engagement and will be responsible for the process of creating user documentation and training materials for instructor-led training and/or web-based training. In addition, the role must be able to write learning objectives, create storyboards, and course outlines by working with subject-matter experts and existing materials.

The primary goal of the SAFECOR Training Team is to provide world class, effective training programs that engage our Divisions and internal customers to drive accountability.

Lead and deliver SAFECOR HSE curriculum to grow Airgas engagement and meet country code and applicable regulatory requirements as well as Industrial Management System compliance requirements.

Set clear direction for the business of the HSEQ training requirements

Manage the SAFECOR HSEQ Training Matrix. 

Work in tandem with the Americas HR Center of Excellence to ensure applicable Airgas University training courses and curriculums are current and effective and reflected in the National Training Matrix.

Design and develop instructor-led and web-based training by effectively collaborating and managing the process with subject matter experts, technical staff, project teams, HR Center of Excellence and external content creator consultants and vendors to develop topical SAFECOR HSEQ curriculum into a final product including translations where needed.

Develop and/or provide exercises and activities including virtual simulators that enhance the retention and learning process.

Develop and measure criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments.

Develop organizational HSEQ training metrics to measure company participation, qualification, and effectiveness.

Plan and organize course schedules in accordance with available resources. Prepare resources and equipment required for the delivery of training courses.

Manage assigned training courses and maintain up to date training content.

Deliver quality training to the business.

Mobilize training equipment and resources, manage and prepare for shipment equipment as needed.

Additional tasks as required by management including but not limited to support of Group and/or SAFECOR specific campaigns.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years experience or Associate's Degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 7 years of experience.

Previous experience developing and delivering training

Experience delivering technical training in an industrial environment

Intermediate knowledge of Google applications, including Google Docs, Drive, Sheets, and Slides

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s preferably in a technical field such as engineering, science, or safety
