HSE Supervisor

Introduction

We are seeking a HSE Supervisor to join our Market Area Sales and Service Mexico team. You will be responsible to ensure the HSE performances of our operations complies with local and Metso standards through proactive implementation of systems, education and training of personnel.  This function will work closely with location managers as well as provide advice, guidance and support to employees. In this position, you will report to the HSE Manager.

This position is mainly located in Cananea, Sonora MX or Irapuato, Guanajuato. However, it involves up to 50-70% of travel to Customer Sites. 

Team you belong to

You will join a team of HSE experts dedicated to providing solutions to Sales Manager and Customers 

We work closely with internal stakeholders, such as Sale Account Managers and Direct Customers. Our team culture is all about providing the best solutions for the customer and internal stakeholders.  The members in our team are in Mexico. 

What you’ll do:

•    Implementing HSE strategies aligned with Metso and local standards
•    Engaging with customers to promote and improve safety practices
•    Supporting the creation of a strong, proactive safety culture•    Advising local leaders on regulatory compliance and best practices
•    Conducting audits, analyzing risks, and recommending solutions
•    Investigating incidents and leading efforts to prevent recurrence
•    Training teams and championing continuous improvement
•    Evaluating contractors and ensuring high HSE performance
•    Managing HSE documentation, permits, KPIs, and emergency plans. 

Who you are:

•    Experience in HSE leadership within industrial or mining environments
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills (English/French a plus)
•    Ability to influence and motivate teams across locations•    Solid knowledge of local safety regulations and trends
•    Proven skills in risk analysis, auditing, and reporting
•    Ability to work independently and thrive in a dynamic environment
•    Willingness to travel frequently across customer sites in Mexico
