Job Title: Site HSE Specialist
Reports to: HSE Manager

Role Summary

The Site HSE Specialist ensures on-site compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations and company standards. Operating directly within project sites and operational facilities, the role is hands-on and execution-focused, aimed at identifying risks, promoting a safety culture, supporting field operations, and ensuring legal and procedural compliance.

The position collaborates closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, subcontractors, and operational staff to implement HSE protocols, conduct field inspections, manage documentation, and deliver practical safety training.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with national HSE legislation (e.g., Legislative Decree 81/08) and site-specific environmental regulations.

Support the preparation and continuous update of site HSE documentation (DVR, POS, DUVRI, PSC).

Conduct regular HSE site inspections, safety walks, and internal audits.

Monitor contractor compliance and verify their technical-professional suitability.

Deliver on-site HSE training (fire safety, first aid, electrical risk, etc.).

Investigate incidents and near misses, prepare detailed reports, and recommend preventive/corrective actions.

Actively contribute to the development of a proactive safety culture on-site.

Main Activities

Draft and update site-specific risk assessments and safety plans (DVR, POS, PSC, DUVRI)

Conduct technical-professional assessments of subcontractors

Organize and manage HSE training and emergency preparedness sessions

Monitor near miss and incident reporting processes

Participate in safety coordination meetings and toolbox talks
