We offer attractive pay, flexible work options, a great corporate culture, comprehensive and employee-focused benefits including virtual healthcare and a wellness platform as well as great savings programs, and a clear vision for the future. \# **WeAreWSP** **What you can expect to do here:** + Overall accountability of the HSE incident management program, including incident protocols, procedures, and training programs within the organization. + Ensure prompt and comprehensive investigations into health, safety, and environmental incidents, including workplace accidents, near misses, environmental events, and other incidents. + Provide regular updates on investigation progress and findings to relevant stakeholders and management. + Document investigation findings, analysis, and recommendations. + Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory requirements related to incident investigation and root cause analysis. + Oversee the workplace injury and illness claims management program, from initial reporting to resolution, ensuring compliance with internal, and regulatory requirements. + Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including HR, legal, payroll, and management, to gather relevant information and documentation for claims processing. + Liaise with compensation boards and external agencies to manage claims efficiently, minimize claims costs, and mitigate financial liabilities. + Work with internal stakeholders to implement a strong return to work program to maximize recovery and minimize claims impacts + Support the development of WSP’s medical surveillance program in collaboration with WSP’s Corporate Occupational Hygienist. + Collaborate with occupational health professionals to design protocols for pre-employment screenings, periodic health assessments, and post-incident medical evaluations as required. + Help scheduling medical surveillance activities for all employees, maintaining accurate records and databases. + Help analyze medical surveillance data to identify trends, potential health hazards, and opportunities for proactive interventions to safeguard employee well-being. + Stay abreast of relevant regulations, and best practices pertaining to claims management, medical surveillance, and occupational health. + Maintain detailed documentation of claims, medical evaluations, and surveillance activities, ensuring confidentiality and data security at all times. + Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components. Often operates in ambiguous situations. + Decisions and impact begin to influence department strategy. + Regularly makes recommendations on new processes, tools and services that can impact multiple projects and other work areas. + Applies training and seasoned experience to independently resolve a variety of complex problemsthat have significant impact on cost or efficiency of business operations. **What you’ll bring to WSP:** + Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Occupational Health and Safety, health services, or a related field. + 6-8 years of experience in a similar role that encompassed multiple regulatory jurisdictions + Familiarity with claims, medical surveillance protocols, occupational medicine practices, and relevant regulatory frameworks (asset). + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to critically evaluate information and identify underlying causes of incidents. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interview witnesses, gather information, and present findings to diverse audiences. + Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and objectivity in investigation processes and reporting. + Advanced computer skills, specifically for use of office automation software such as MS Teams & MS Office Suite, as well as quick learner of HSE Platform. + Bilingualism (English-French) is necessary because the individual will frequently be involved in projects for English-speaking clients and partners, often based outside of Quebec **.**
