Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer to join our professional team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment while ensuring compliance with local and international HSE regulations.

Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive HSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environmentConduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actionsLead incident investigations, prepare detailed analytical reports, and implement preventive measuresProvide HSE training and education to employees at all levels of the organizationManage and maintain environmental management systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, particularly those specific to Saudi ArabiaCollaborate with management to develop and implement HSE strategies and initiativesMonitor and analyze HSE performance data, preparing reports for management and regulatory bodiesStay up-to-date with changes in HSE regulations and best practices, both locally and internationallyServe as the primary point of contact for HSE-related matters with internal and external stakeholdersLead emergency response planning and coordinate drills to ensure organizational preparednessFoster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related fieldMinimum of 15 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in industrial or construction settingsRelevant HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA)In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and standards, with a strong focus on Saudi Arabian requirementsProven experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety management systemsStrong proficiency in HSE software and data analysis toolsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and educate employeesDemonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesFluency in English; Arabic language skills are highly desirableFamiliarity with industry-specific safety practices and environmental management systemsProactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential HSE risksAbility to work effectively in a multicultural environmentWillingness to travel to various work sites as neededKnowledge of international HSE standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001)Experience with emergency response planning and coordinationStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
