Job OverviewThe Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive HSE programs that ensure compliance with regulations, minimize operational risks, and foster a culture of safety excellence across the organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and standards aligned with relevant regulations and industry best practicesLead incident investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrencesConduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and recommend appropriate control measuresProvide technical guidance and support to operational teams on HSE mattersDevelop and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levelsTrack and analyze HSE performance metrics and prepare reports for managementEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal HSE regulationsManage emergency response planning and coordinate drillsCollaborate with stakeholders to integrate HSE considerations into business decisionsStay current with regulatory changes and emerging HSE trendsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field5+ years of progressive HSE management experienceProfessional certification (CSP, CHMM, CIH, or equivalent)Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and management systemsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsExperience implementing and managing HSE programsProficiency in risk assessment methodologiesAbility to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levelsSkillsLeadership and team managementRisk assessment and mitigationIncident investigation techniquesCrisis management and emergency responseRegulatory complianceData analysis and reportingTraining development and deliveryProject managementEffective communication and presentationWorking ConditionsPrimary office environment with regular visits to operational sitesMay require occasional travel to multiple locationsSome physical activity during site inspectionsPotential exposure to various work environments depending on industryLocation:
