HSE Engineer II - Environmental
As an HSE Engineer II-Environmental here at Honeywell, you will be accountable to ensure the highest standards of health and safety for our employees, compliance with environmental regulations, and the implementation of best practices in engineering-related safety. You will play a critical role in fostering a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility within the organization. Your expertise in risk assessment, incident investigation, and regulatory compliance will enable us to mitigate potential hazards and maintain a safe working environment. In this role, you will impact our business by ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment. Your contributions will not only protect our people and assets but also enhance our reputation as an accountable and sustainable organization. You will report directly to our HSE Manager and you'll work 100% onsite at our Aerospace manufacturing plant in Mexicali. Key Responsibilities • Implementing and maintaining company policies adhering to local, state, and federal environmental, health and, safety regulations related to environmental compliance. • Involvement in the design and development of facilities, work areas, and work procedures and making environmental, health, and safety recommendations accordingly. • Responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating Environmental policy and procedure manuals. • Interpreting compliance with environmental regulations, auditing, and keeping abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. • Serving as a contact with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies. • Having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. • Perform comprehensive gap analyses of current programs, identifying weaknesses and opportunities for improvement. • Support other HSE&F areas, as necessary. YOU MUST HAVE + 3+ years of experience in Environmental practice + Bachelor's degree in Engineering + Language: Advanced English proficiency (conversational level) WE VALUE + Experience with environmental programs (Resource Conservation & Recovery Act (RCRA) - Large Quantity Generator, Clean Air Act, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program, Wastewater Management + Experience with regulatory data collecting & reporting + Ability to organize data into meaningful information + Industrial Hygiene Practices experience + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Able to work independently and in a team environment + Ability to influence and collaborate as a cross functional support role + Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Tableau, SAP Honeywell helps organizations solve the world's most complex challenges in automation, the future of aviation and energy transition.
