Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Advisor for our Sewage Treatment Plant in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of our operations while promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs for the sewage treatment plantConduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actionsInvestigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, providing detailed reports and recommendations for preventionEnsure compliance with local and international HSE regulations and standards applicable to sewage treatment operationsDeliver HSE training programs to employees and contractors, promoting safety awareness and best practicesMonitor and evaluate environmental impacts of plant operations, recommending improvements to minimize negative effectsCollaborate with management and operations teams to integrate HSE considerations into daily activities and long-term planningMaintain accurate HSE records and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholdersStay updated on emerging HSE trends, technologies, and regulations in the water treatment industry

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum 7 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in water treatment or related industriesRelevant HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH)In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and standards, particularly those applicable to sewage treatment plants in the UAEStrong understanding of sewage treatment processes, technologies, and associated environmental impactsProven experience in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and environmental impact assessmentsProficiency in HSE management systems and related softwareExcellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey HSE concepts to diverse audiencesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach to workExperience in developing and delivering safety training programsFamiliarity with water quality management practices and regulationsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple prioritiesFluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
