Seeking a talented HRIS Analyst with strong Power BI and T-SQL (Transact-SQL) reporting experience to join our HRIS team. This role is essential to the development and delivery of ad hoc and recurring HR reports, with an emphasis on data accuracy, dashboarding, and process automation. You will serve as both a technical point-of-contact and a reporting expert, responsible for managing data-driven insights across multiple HR functions and working on high-profile HR and IT projects. Grow with us as we continue to expand our network of locations and services. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Job Functions): Expected to learn new technologies and software. Perform software development activities including requirements gathering and analysis, systems design, documentation, testing and integration. Actively participate in agile/scrum software development activities. Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers. Participate in the execution of projects to successful delivery (design, test and install). Design and architect solutions that guarantee effective implementation and integration of business-critical applications and components. Keep abreast with the latest advances in software development technologies and lead implementation of strategic solutions that add significant value to Rush Enterprises. Provide hands-on expertise to business partners on product development processes, detailed technical requirements and system integrations. Serve as Administrator/Security Master for HCM Solution. Support Service Now Incidents/SR. Build and maintain Audit reports for External Auditors. Other duties as assigned by the HRIS Director. Key Responsibilities: Report Development & Visualization: Develop, publish, and maintain complex ad hoc and scheduled reports using Power BI and T-SQL. Build interactive dashboards and visualizations that present HR data in user-friendly formats. Ensure reports are accurate, performant, and aligned with business requirements. T-SQL & Database Development: Write optimized T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for reporting and data extraction. Implement audit log queries and reports for use in compliance and external audits. Support data ETL operations and aggregation using SQL Server tools. System Support & Administration: Serve as an administrator and security master for the HCM system (e.g., UKG Pro, etc.). Collaborate with HR subject matter experts to translate business needs into actionable reports and system updates. Troubleshoot issues, manage incidents, and provide technical support through ServiceNow or equivalent ticketing systems. Project & Process Improvement: Participate in Agile/Scrum project activities, including requirements gathering, testing, and deployment. Analyze data flows between systems to identify automation or process improvement opportunities. Assist in system upgrades/enhancements and support configuration, testing, and documentation efforts. Stakeholder Collaboration: Build solid relationships with HR partners, IT developers, and business users. Deliver reporting and data services to internal stakeholders with a focus on confidentiality, accuracy, and usability. Stay up to date with evolving best practices in BI, analytics, and HR technology. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. 2+ years of hands-on experience in T-SQL development (queries, views, stored procedures, joins, etc.). 2+ years of experience authoring reports and dashboards in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling). Experience with HRIS/HCM systems (e.g., UKG Pro) is preferred. Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar incident/ticket management systems. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity, security, and privacy. Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills. Preferred Skills and Experience: Advanced database knowledge, including indexing and performance tuning. Experience with ETL tools and HR data integrations. Understanding of data warehousing and dimensional data modeling concepts. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps). Knowledge of HR metrics/KPIs and workforce analytics practices. Understanding of Change Management and strong documentation skills.
