The Disability & Leave Services Manager provides support to Sr Leaders and managers within the team/department. They lead a team of Subject Matter Expert Accommodation Consultants to provide a frustration free experience to our Customer (Amazon Employees seeking a workplace adjustment/accommodation for Disability or Medical reasons). The manager will assist with the development and execution of the team's vision and goals, drive regular reviews of current processes and develop suggestions for improvements to maximize the value of resources. Collecting and analyzing data to create business cases, influencing policy and managing enhancements. The manager will act as Subject Matter Expert for customers, team and vendors.
Key job responsibilities
• Knows and interprets basic legal stipulations
• Knows and works with outside sources to develop interpretations and solutions for complex issues
• Performs audits of team’s work
• Assists with developing and approving guidelines
• Develops, reviews and implements new policies, programs, and procedures gaining input and approvals as appropriate
• Advocates for Accommodations Services
• Participates in cross-functional process improvement initiatives.
• Leads small to medium inter/intra department projects
• Investigates discrepancies, finds and implements solutions
• Creates business cases and manages enhancements
• Presents high quality data findings
• Reviews audit data for multiple departments and geographies. Uses data to facilitate systemic change
• Deliver quality inputs to produce end objectives
• Remove roadblocks for peers/team
• Responds quickly and accurately to questions from team, internal business partners, candidates, and customers including high level leadership teams.
• Travel to sites to build and maintain stakeholder relationships/ support escalations.
