We are looking for an HR Specialist for our Transportation services to work under our Screening Service's team. This role needs to deliver screening services, including background checks and drug tests, at the fastest rate, with the highest quality, and with the maximum flexibility.
You will interact with internal and external customers to design and deliver an optimized and flexible shared service (consisting of vendors and operations) that responds quickly to diverse and changing needs and remains accurate and compliant. You will be expected to make data-driven judgment decisions and be able to earn trust with your customers by responding to inquiries. The businesses within this portfolio are varied and you will need to look across service and businesses to identify innovative and out-of-the-box solutions that will deliver significant impact. This includes evaluating customer feedback, creating and deep diving into data sets, and continuously re-inventing existing processes to better serve our customers. Successful HR Specialists within this group are strategic innovators who can pivot quickly, thrive in ambiguous environments, turn strategic vision into tactical solutions, and are always looking at the data to drive ongoing improvements.
About the team
Screening Services is a global HR function supporting Amazon's comprehensive screening needs across all business lines. We manage background checks and drug testing for employees and contingent workers, ensuring compliance with safety and security standards. Working closely with vendors and internal partners, we drive innovative screening solutions while maintaining strict adherence to legal requirements and company policies. Our team owns end-to-end screening processes, collaborating with Risk & Compliance to deliver efficient, compliant, and frustration-free experiences for all candidates and employees.
Basic Qualifications
• Experience in defining program requirements and utilizing data-driven metrics for improvements
• Proficiency in managing customer interactions through ticketing systems
• Experience in collaborating with vendors and gathering relevant data sets
• Track record of successfully delivering cross-functional projects
• Background in program or project management.
Preferred Qualifications
• Thorough command of HR processes strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions
•Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate business problems and solutions to senior leaders
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionality with HR business and technical teams
• Established record of project delivery as lead analyst or project manager
• Comfort/experience communicating and influencing across job levels with both internal and external partners
• Demonstrated capability in working with both technical and non-technical teams
• Ability to effectively present data for business reviews.
