Description
We are looking for a dedicated HR Specialist to join a team on a long-term contract basis in Voorhees, New Jersey. This role focuses on managing employee leave programs, workplace accommodations, and related HR functions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and policies. The position operates during regular weekday business hours and offers a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities:
• Administer and oversee all employee leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, and personal leave, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and organizational policies.
• Facilitate communication between employees and program leaders to ensure proper documentation and approvals for leave requests.
• Manage reasonable accommodation requests and interactive processes under ADA, supporting employees’ return-to-work transitions.
• Coordinate responses to unemployment claims, gathering necessary documentation and submitting timely responses.
• Provide assistance in managing workers' compensation cases, working closely with insurance carriers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records related to employee leave and accommodations.
• Collaborate with other HR staff to improve processes and ensure a seamless employee experience.
• Support HR compliance initiatives, including adherence to HIPAA regulations.
• Offer guidance to employees on leave policies and procedures, ensuring clarity and understanding.
• Utilize HRIS systems to input and track leave and accommodation data efficiently.
Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing employee leaves and accommodations, preferably in nonprofit, healthcare, or social services environments.
• Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and related employment laws and regulations.
• Familiarity with handling unemployment claims and workers’ compensation cases.
• Proficiency in using HRIS systems for tracking and managing employee data.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple sensitive cases simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance regulations and their application in HR processes. TalentMatch®
