Description LOOKING FOR SPANISH BILLINGUAL HR FIRST POINT OF CONTACT FOR EMPLOYEES We are looking for an experienced HR Specialist to join our team in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. As part of this Contract-to-ongoing opportunity, you will play a pivotal role in managing various human resources programs, ensuring smooth operations within both unionized and non-unionized environments. This role offers the chance to contribute to employee relations, staffing, payroll, benefits, and safety initiatives while supporting the facility's overall HR needs. Responsibilities: • Coordinate recruitment and selection activities, including processing applications, scheduling interviews, liaising with managers and agencies, extending employment offers, and conducting new employee orientations. • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries, delivering exceptional customer service and resolving requests promptly. • Manage personnel and medical files, including enrollment in benefits, processing changes, maintaining documentation, and handling termination-related file updates. • Administer leave of absence tracking and ensure compliance with organizational policies. • Review, approve, and process benefit invoices accurately and efficiently. • Act as a payroll backup, assisting the HR Generalist with payroll-related tasks as needed. • Support the performance review process by preparing necessary documentation and ensuring timely completion. • Facilitate employee training sessions, presenting new or updated materials to enhance workforce development. Requirements • Proven experience in human resources administration, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations. • Familiarity with HRIS systems and their application in managing HR processes. • Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining personnel records and handling benefits enrollment. • Ability to effectively manage leave of absence tracking and adhere to compliance requirements. • Solid understanding of payroll processes and willingness to provide backup support when needed. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with employees and address their concerns. • Experience in delivering training materials and fostering growth and development among staff.
