SEI is seeking a corporate HR Specialist to support the employee lifecycle from new hires and onboarding to orientation and more. This position requires an adaptable individual who possesses strong process management and exceptional interpersonal skills. Responsibilities as assigned with heavy emphasis on “best in class” employee experience, working within Workday and Dayforce business processes.
You will also work to ensure HR compliance in the areas of I-9 employment eligibility verification, background screening, clearance process and new hire support. Core job duties are time sensitive, highly confidential and require meticulous attention to detail. Special projects as required by the department occur regularly.
What you will do:
Oversee accurate administration of all new hires during the onboarding process, ensuring the proper requirements and specific clearances are met for each location.
Ensure clear communication of onboarding progress with new hires, recruiters, team members and ATS to ensure a smooth, welcoming experience and deliver a “best in class” onboarding process for all!
Responsible for ensuring compliance and consistency in all pre-hire clearance and record keeping documents, including adjudication support, while facilitating clear, consistent communication with all relevant parties.
Collaborate with key support partners to deliver and maintain the program activities developed.
Audit reports and Workday employee records to ensure data is current and executed within the specified timeframe for background clearance processing and the actual start date.
Manage the I-9 employment eligibility verification process in accordance with state and federal guidelines, including managing and tracking reverifications, advising both the individual and HR Partner of upcoming expiration dates, as applicable. Participate in regular I-9 compliance webinar and training, including E-Verify.
Manage corporate referral program in accordance with the global policy.
Responsible for supporting onboarding vendor management suppliers, as needed.
Maintain client and employee privacy in accordance with company COC and privacy policies.
Support client RFP and all audit requests.
Support the preparation, setup and execution of day-one Corporate Orientation.
Assist in the development and improvement of onboarding materials and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency across teams.
Participate in and support various projects, as requested, including other HR related duties as assigned.
What we need from you:
BA/BS degree in HR Management, communication or similar field and experience working in HR or client service.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an HR Specialist, Onboarding or other relevant HR role.
Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), including Workday, Dayforce, PeopleFluent and other systems, a plus. Or ability to learn.
Knowledge of work authorization validity and E-Verify a plus.
Perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information, including exposure to background screening.
Previous experience with data collection, analysis and business process improvements, a plus.
Ability to deal with ambiguity and pivot on tasks and projects, while maintaining momentum.
