Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY: Provides office support services by performing administrative and receptionist duties with specific focus in Human Resources and Safety. ACCOUNTABILITIES: Benefits administration including benefit orientations and handling employee questions. Responsible for monthly safety audits, training logs, training, and being a part of the SRMP team. Responsible for compiling weekly payroll information for one company. Coordinates special events such as Employee Appreciation Day, Wellness fair, Holiday parties, etc. Assist with on-boarding new employees: compiling new hire information packets, conducting orientation meetings, collecting appropriate paperwork, completing applicant logs, etc. Assist with recruiting: post jobs internally and on the internet, screen candidates, set up/confirm interviews, etc. Assist in keeping all HR files up to date and compliant. Assists with compiling, updating, verifying, generating, and distributing department reports on personnel-related issues such as employee turnover, safety, and workplace accidents. Assist with training programs (designing Power Point presentations, room set-up, etc.) Assist and participate in plant teams. Provides back-up to building security passes. Verify temporary employee’s status. Represents the company in a professional manner by performing receptionist duties for work unit which includes the duties of: greeting walk-in visitors and clients, answering incoming phone calls, taking messages for departmental staff, referring callers or visitors to the appropriate party, and scheduling appointments. May also hand out and receive job applications and contact applicants to schedule interviews. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school degree plus one year of specialized or technical training in office administration, human resources or administrative services with 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Strong computer skills required, including MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Share point, and Power Point. Knowledge of methods and techniques of maintaining record keeping and filing systems. Knowledge of generating and formatting reports. Knowledge of timekeeping and/or HRIS (Kronos/Ulti) a plus. Bi-lingual a plus. Knowledge of SQF a plus. Organizing and prioritizing tasks to complete multiple and varied work assignments in a timely manner. Good problem solving skills, communication and interpersonal skills; high confidentiality is a must.
