Join our company and be part of an innovative team that’s First in Food. Location Description Wakefield is one of the largest production facilities within Michael Foods. We serve as a flex plant and are able to produce everything from a whole pasteurized egg to liquid, dried, hardboiled and curds. Responsibilities Join our dynamic team as a Bilingual Spanish/English HR Representative! You'll be cross-trained in various HR responsibilities, with specific focus areas to keep your role exciting and diverse. Your duties will include administrative tasks, employee assistance, involvement in employee recognition and events, benefit enrollment, recruitment and orientation, retention, compliance, and communications. Monitor attendance and issue discipline notices as needed. Conduct exit interviews and stay interviews to support retention efforts. Manage leave of absence processes. This position is crucial in maintaining our commitment to safety and quality. You'll ensure all policies, procedures, and activities related to food safety and quality are uniformly followed, helping to reduce product and process variability. ACTIVITIES: Employee Recognition: Coordinate recognition programs (YMADs). Manage and distribute service awards. Training and Events: Assist with trainings, presentations, and events, including designing PowerPoint presentations and room setup. Plan and execute employee meals and events. Committee Participation: Participate on committees to provide HR presence and support. Provide backup to other HR team members as needed. Safety and Health: Ensure a safe and healthy workplace for everyone by adhering to all safety policies and procedures and incorporating safety and health into all tasks. Quality Practices: Follow GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure product quality. Report any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality. Reporting: Compile, update, and generate reports (audits). Compliance: Ensure regulatory compliance at all times. Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Communication Skills: Professional English oral and written communication skills are essential. Report Writing: Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Public Speaking: Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers/vendors, or employees of the organization. Preferred Experience and Skills: Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or Management is preferred. HR Experience: Previous HR experience is desired. Teamwork: Must be able to work independently or as part of a team as needed. Computer Proficiency: Proficient knowledge and use of computer programs are desired (Word and Excel required; PowerPoint preferred). Follow-Up and Problem Solving: Must have effective follow-up, problem-solving, communication, creativity, and interpersonal skills. Multi-Tasking: Must be able to multi-task and efficiently change priorities to keep up with business demands. Organization: Must be organized and detail-oriented. Professionalism: Must be professional in dealing with personnel issues, including maintaining confidential information. System Knowledge: Knowledge of ATS and/or HRIS systems is desired. #firstinpeople
