Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institutionA minimum of four years’ office or administrative experience OR possess a Bachelor’s degree Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. HR Representative

Howmet Aerospace has an opportunity for an on-site HR Representative in our Whitehall, MI location! Reporting to the Employment Manager, this individual will support hourly workforce recruitment and placement processes across our plant operations. This role is instrumental in ensuring smooth hiring experiences, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting labor agreement compliance. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, organizational ability, and a proactive approach to candidate and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Communicate regularly with plant leadership on hiring needs, openings, and priority placementsExecute hourly job transfers in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) guidelinesCollaborate with employees and new hires regarding job placement updates and decisionsReview resumes and applications for hourly production positionsCoordinate and facilitate hourly plant walk-throughs for prospective hiresParticipate in new hire orientation sessions for hourly employeesConduct exit interviews for the hourly workforce and maintain associated tracking recordsMaintain and update recruiting status spreadsheets by plantPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reportsFollow up with hourly employees as required under CBA provisionsEnsure all new hire and transfer checklist items are completed and documentedManage candidate records and ensure accurate dispositioning in the applicant tracking system (ATS)Support additional HR-related tasks and special projects as needed
