Area:
HR Services (HRS) is responsible for the experience of over 20,000 employees across BASF's operations in the Americas throughout their journey within the company, from onboarding to offboarding.
Main Objective:
Provides specialized regional expertise in assigned H2R processes, such as Payroll, Time Management and Workforce Management, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives, and the ability to lead HR projects in the Americas.
Tasks:
Process Design and Implementation
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to design and implement best practices for HR processes within the designated HR topic area.
• Lead the design and development of HR project strategies that align with organizational objectives.
• Implement and execute HR sub-processes in alignment with global and regional standards.
• Collaborate with Global Process Owners (GPO), Process Comms Lead, Process Automation Experts to design and implement best practices for HR processes within the designated HR topic area.
• Lead and responsible to provide process workstream expertise for any global/regional projects that are approved for implementation
Subject Matter Expertise and Guidance
• Serve as a subject matter expert in designated HR topics (e.g. Payroll, and Time Management, Workforce Management) to provide insights and recommendations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of HR processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures, ensuring they are well-defined and accessible to stakeholders.
• Monitor process performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize outcomes.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and propose innovative solutions in the processes within HR projects, in collaboration with the respective stakeholders
Stakeholder Engagement
• Engage with key stakeholders across HR and other functions to ensure alignment and support for project initiatives.
• Facilitate communication and alignment on project initiatives, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged.
• Process focal point contact for People Services, GBT Global Process Owner, and another relevant stakeholder
• Act as a liaison between HR teams and executive leadership, effectively communicating project progress, challenges, and outcomes.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by sharing insights and encouraging collaboration among HR teams.
Requirements:
Education: Tertiary education, minimum Bachelor of degree in HR, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Working Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in HR operations, process management, project management, or a related area, with a focus on specific HR topics. Proven experience in leading transformation initiatives or process optimization projects with a strong understanding of HR processes and practices. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and engaging stakeholders to drive project success. Demonstrated ability to analyze data and generate reports to support decision-making and project evaluation.Language skills: Fluent in speaking and written English. Portuguese is valued.Technical skills: Strong understanding of HR processes, preferable HR operations processes. Knowledge of project management frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) as applied to HR initiatives. Familiarity with HR technology and systems relevant to the designated topic area.Soft skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
