HR Operations and Visa Coordinator + Job Number: 24942 + Functional Area: Human Resources + Department: MIT Sloan Human Resources + School Area: Sloan School of Management + Pay Range Minimum: $64,000 + Pay Range Maximum: $79,200 + Employment Type: Full-time (Hybrid) + Employment Category: Exempt + Visa Sponsorship Available: No + Schedule: + Pay Grade: 6 Email a Friend Save Save Apply Now Posting Description HR OPERATIONS AND VISA COORDINATOR, Sloan Human Resources, will ensure accurate and timely processing of HR transactions, including but not limited to employee pay changes, terminations, job posting, payroll adjustments, etc. while maintaining employee records; proactively review HR transactions, including term appointments & temporary increases to verify status; support and monitor HR workflows, including Service Now requests to ensure accurate systems of record and reporting capabilities; interpret, advise, and provide information on general HR operations and processes and MIT/Sloan personnel policies and procedures; investigate and resolve payroll issues; lead, manage and prepare all required materials for visa processing; stay up to date with changes in immigration laws and regulations and ensure school compliance; work with leadership to determine and coordinate relevant training for international processes; and be a principle liaison with the MIT International Scholar’s Office / International Students Office. Find a full job description here: https://web.mit.edu/sloan-hr/jobs/HRCoordinator.pdf Job Requirements REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree; a minimum of two years of HR or related experience; sensitivity to organizational dynamics and ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels; discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information; working familiarity with federal and state employment laws and HR principles; robust knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP or similar systems and reporting software tools; robust organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment; to work proactively, independently, and cross-functionally; and excellent communications (speaking, listening, writing), client service, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
