HR Onboarding & Workforce Specialist

Job Summary:

The HR Onboarding & Workforce Specialist is responsible for coordinating and delivering compliant, efficient onboarding for union and non-union employees across contract sites. This position supports site readiness, compliance with federal requirements, and rapid integration of cleared and uncleared employees into contract roles.

Primary Job Functions

Facilitate in-person onboarding at our contract sites. Ensure all new hire employees receive and complete onboarding process by entering, validating, and updating employee onboarding data in the HCM tool. Act as an HR liaison to site supervisors and operational leadership during onboarding ramp-up and their onboarding cycle. Ensure adherence to federal, state and site onboarding requirements (e.g., E-Verify, I-9, OFCCP, FAR/DFARS onboarding documentation) Ensure employees are processed through background check and drug screening Collaborate with security and site teams to support onboarding of cleared personnel (e.g., tracking interim clearances, SF-86 progress) to ensure receiving badge and applicable equipment. Maintain audit-ready onboarding files and support internal or external audits (e.g., DCAA, DCMA, DOL) Confirm correct assignment of job codes, clearance requirements, union status, pay rates, and onboarding tasks Monitor onboarding task completion and update HRIS records as new hires progress through the onboarding cycle. Coordinate with other stakeholders to ensure compliance with CBA terms, pay structure, and union onboarding obligations. Create and deliver demos or presentation for onboarding, including Day 1 orientation. Assist with developing standard operating procedures and documentation workflow.
