About Shriver Job Corps Center
The Shriver Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Advanced Computer Systems Administration, Advanced Transportation Service Worker, various Computer Sciences, Carpentry, Automotive Maintenance, Millwright Welding, Office Administration and Security & Protective Services.
Our 21-acre campus is nestled away minutes off of RTE 2, and 2A on Jackson Road in Devens MA. We service between 200 and 300 dorm students ages 16 to 24 years old at any given time with rolling admissions weekly. Our staff value the student experience and often cite the personal impact of what we do as a major factor of employment satisfaction. In addition, we have amenities that are open for staff to utilize such as a gym, basketball courts, full service cafeteria and more.
Position Summary
The HR Manager provides management and supervision of the Center’s Human Resource function. Works closely with the Corporate HR Manager to assess policies, procedures, and training plans. Conducts employee investigations and prepares all necessary documentation for the Corporate office.
Responsibilities
Maintains a vacancy and turnover rate at or below the Center Standard Ensures early or on-time completion of staff evaluations; 90, 165, and annual evaluations. Oversees staff training activities, conducts New Hire Orientation, ensures compliance of annual trainings. Conducts employee investigations, ADA requests, Student EEO complaints and submits all findings to the Corporate office for review. Ensures compliance with employee records, Workers Comp, MA DUA, DOL approvals and submits weekly, monthly and quarterly reports. Works closely with Center leadership to develop strategies that increase employee engagement, decrease turnover and build trust and confidence Communicates regularly with the Corporate HR Manager to seek guidance, provide feedback and complete projects as they arise.Benefits
