We are seeking a full-time Human Resources Generalist to join our Reston, VA Corporate Office team, reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources and working closely with their Business Unit General Manager. This position presents an excellent opportunity for an HR professional to deepen their knowledge in a variety of HR functions while supporting a growing company with almost 600 employees along with the HR Team.
Nature and Scope of Work:Manages the on-boarding and off-boarding process for employees with background investigation submission and review, benefits enrollment and COBRA notifications, I-9 completion and E-verify submission, and file creation and maintenanceProvides exceptional customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions in a timely and accurate manner. Assesses and resolves employee relations matters with BUGM and HR VPPerforms benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees. Coordinates and supports Annual Open Enrollment and/or Wellness initiatives. Collaborates with benefits brokerAdminister FMLA leave and related disability forms, worker’s compensation claims, leave requests, and training and tuition reimbursementsMaintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from Paycom.Administration of the ATS 401(k) Plan, Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation Plan, ESOP, and related auditsAssists HR VP with generation and submission of EEO-1, VETS-4212, and Affirmative Action PlansPrepares information to Federal investigators for employee background clearance interviews and prepares responses for verifications of employmentCollaborates with Payroll Accountant for quality control to ensure that all employee changes are accurately processed on a bi-weekly basisMaintains and updates company policies, SOPs, and documents including the handbook, as neededMaintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulationsEmployee event and award coordination (Open Houses, Family Picnic, Employee Recognition Event)Hybrid schedule - 3 days in Reston office and 2 days remoteOther duties as assigned Required Qualifications:Five+ years of progressive human resources in a fast-paced environmentExcellent computer skills in a Microsoft environmentUS Citizenship requiredRelated Bachelor’s degree Preferred Qualifications:Paycom or other previous HRIS experienceSHRM-CP or PHR CertificationGovernment Contractor experienceEqual Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action
