HR Generalist

Job Summary/Objective

The HR Generalist offers support for hourly associates with concerns varying including, but not limited to payroll, benefits, and internal programs. The HR Generalist will also partner with the HRBP with creating and implementing new programs and initiatives, and pushes for HR best practices.  

 

Essential Job Responsibilities

Works with and advises NDW employees with their questions and concerns on various topics.  

Reviews documentation from Lincoln Financial and updates employee statuses as needed.  

Maintains personnel records and assists with ensuring HR best practices concerning documentation procedures. 

Processes status change requests within HRIS systems and sends appropriate documentation to the affected employee.  

Assists with hosting and setting up for the the new hire orientation classes. Including candidate communication, ordering needed supplies, as well as preparing the needed materials in advance.  

Assists in creating ad hoc trainings for managers, and may assist with hosting special training courses.   

Performs regular personnel file audits to ensure accuracy for cost centers, reporting structures, and schedules.  

Active participation in recruitment and pre-boarding processes.  

Collaborates with HRBP and department leaders for implementation of new initiatives.  

Manage employee communications, including postings, newsletter, and ad-hoc notifications as needed.  

Assists with performance management procedures are followed and appropriately escalated.  

Other duties as assigned. 

 

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED 3 or more years of experience working within human resources Understanding of basic labor laws 3 or more years of administrative experience Intermediate understanding of HR best practices Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and telephone etiquette Strong attention to detail Strong customer service skills Strong computer skills and the ability to assist others with use of a computer HRIS experience 

 

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related major 5 or more years of experience in human resources SHRM or PHR certification ADP, and/or Workday experience Payroll processing experience
