HR Generalist

Description We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in San Diego, California, on a long-term contract basis. This role focuses on managing essential HR functions such as onboarding, offboarding, and maintaining employee profiles while providing behind-the-scenes administrative support. Responsibilities:
• Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes, including initiating offer letters, background checks, and preparing new employee packets.
• Collaborate with IT to coordinate equipment setup and ensure seamless integration for new team members.
• Conduct first-day meetings with new employees, ensuring they are equipped with resources and support.
• Schedule and manage internal events, ensuring smooth execution and employee engagement.
• Maintain accurate personnel files and employee profiles within Paylocity, ensuring compliance and up-to-date records.
• Utilize HR software tools such as Jazz HR and Checkr to streamline HR processes.
• Support benefit functions and employee relations by addressing inquiries and providing timely solutions.
• Organize and prioritize multiple tasks to ensure HR processes are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Communicate with team members via platforms like Slack to ensure alignment and collaboration. Requirements • Proven experience in HR administration and employee relations, with 2-5 years preferred.
• Strong familiarity with onboarding and offboarding processes, including essential documentation and communication.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems, such as Paylocity, and other tools like Jazz HR and Checkr.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with IT teams for equipment and resource setup.
• Effective event scheduling and management skills, ensuring timely coordination.
• Experience using Google Suite and Slack for communication and task management.
