Description
We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Rockford, Illinois. This role is a long-term contract position, with the possibility for hire, where you will play a pivotal role in managing employee relations, overseeing HR processes, and driving efficient operations in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities:
• Manage employee relations by addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and fostering a positive workplace environment.
• Conduct investigations and handle terminations while ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
• Oversee onboarding processes, including orientations and new employee paperwork, to ensure a smooth transition for new team members.
• Support recruitment efforts by sourcing candidates and collaborating with hiring managers to meet staffing needs.
• Administer benefits programs and assist employees with related inquiries.
• Utilize HRIS systems such as Paycor and Workday to maintain accurate employee records and streamline processes.
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops to promote skill development and adherence to company standards.
• Prepare and maintain HR documentation, including policies, procedures, and reports.
• Collaborate with management to implement strategies that improve employee engagement and satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations while maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of three to five years of experience as an HR Generalist.
• Strong expertise in employee relations and handling sensitive workplace matters.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems, particularly Paycor or Workday, or similar software.
• Solid understanding of onboarding processes and new procedures.
• Excellent communication skills to manage tough conversations effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of benefits administration and labor law compliance.
