HR Generalist

Our client, a renowned nonprofit organization, is seeking a dedicated HR Generalist to manage key human resources functions and contribute to their impactful mission. Key Responsibilities + Administer and oversee employee lifecycle operations, including recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes. + Provide guidance to employees and management regarding HR policies, procedures, and compliance with labor laws (ADA, FMLA, EEOC, etc.). + Manage payroll, benefits administration, and other employee services, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational policies. + Address and resolve employee relations issues, providing coaching to managers and fostering a respectful workplace. + Support the creation and facilitation of employee engagement initiatives and training and development programs. + Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data in compliance with organizational and legal requirements. + Collaborate with leadership to identify HR priorities and contribute to strategic initiatives that support organizational growth. + Stay up-to-date with employment laws and regulations to ensure the organization remains compliant. Requirements + 3-5 years of experience in HR, with a strong understanding of HR processes, compliance, and best practices (nonprofit experience is a bonus). + Familiarity with payroll systems, HRIS, and benefits administration programs. + Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with employees and leaders. + A collaborative and proactive mindset, with a passion for making a positive contribution. + A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HRCI or SHRM certification is a plus. + Strong understanding of labor laws and regulations, with the ability to recommend and implement improvements. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems tools.
