HR Generalist
Description A private member club in West Los Angeles is hiring a Human Resources Generalist on an ongoing contract basis! As an HR Generalist, you will join a dedicated three-person HR team to support the club’s diverse workforce of approximately 250 employees. In this role, you will act as a key resource for employees and managers while managing essential HR functions, including benefits administration, workers' compensation, and leave of absence (LOA) management. Your expertise will help ensure smooth, efficient HR operations in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Job Responsibilities: + Benefits Administration: Oversee the day-to-day management of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and open enrollment processes. Act as the primary point of contact for employees’ benefit-related inquiries. + Workers’ Compensation: Handle all aspects of workers’ compensation claims, including reporting, follow-ups, and collaborating with insurance providers and managers to ensure timely resolution and compliance. + Leave of Absence Management (LOA): Coordinate and monitor LOAs, including FMLA, CFRA, disability, and personal leaves, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. + HR Systems Management: Maintain accurate employee records and oversee HR processes using Paycom, the club’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS). Prior experience with Paycom is a strong plus! + Policy & Procedure Guidance: Communicate and enforce HR policies, procedures, and best practices while providing support and guidance to employees and management. + Employee Relations: Foster positive employee relations by addressing HR-related questions, resolving workplace issues, and ensuring a strong company culture. + Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on employment laws and HR best practices to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. This is an onsite position with hours Monday–Friday, either 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. Fluency in Spanish (written and spoken) is required, as this role involves supporting a bilingual workforce. At least 3–5 years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on benefits administration, workers' compensation, and/or leave of absence management. Proficiency using HR systems, preferably Paycom (strongly preferred). Pay is based on experience, between $30-40/hr. Requirements • Proven experience as an HR Generalist with a strong understanding of core HR functions. • Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken, is mandatory. • Proficiency in Paycom HRIS systems and familiarity with HR administrative tools. • Knowledge of benefits administration and workers' compensation processes. • Ability to manage employee relations effectively in a detail-oriented environment. • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to support a workforce of 250 employees. • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and address employee concerns. • Availability to work onsite daily, Monday through Friday, in Los Angeles, California.
