HR Generalist
Job Title: HR Generalist

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic HR Generalist to manage full-cycle recruitment, oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, administer benefits programs, and maintain employee data in our HRIS system. You will support the performance review process, ensure compliance with labor laws, and partner with managers on employee relations matters. Championing employee engagement through surveys, recognition efforts, and team events, you will collaborate on workforce planning and organizational development.

ResponsibilitiesManage full-cycle recruitment including posting, screening, interviewing, and hiring.Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes with a focus on engagement and retention.Administer benefits programs and maintain employee data in HRIS.Support the performance review process and track professional development.Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.Partner with managers to address employee relations matters confidentially and professionally.Champion employee engagement through surveys, recognition efforts, and team events.Collaborate on workforce planning and organizational development.Coordinate daily office operations including supplies, mail handling, and facilities support.Provide calendar, travel, and scheduling assistance to leadership.Organize team meetings and support office-wide communications.Manage company LinkedIn activity, scheduling posts and responding to messages.Post job openings and recruiting-related content on designated platforms.Essential SkillsPassion for developing culture and creating employee initiatives.Experience in creating policies and HR structures.Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.Minimum 2 years in HR or office administration role.HRIS experience, preferably Paychex.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Strong communication and organizational skills.Discretion and integrity when handling sensitive information.Additional Skills & Qualifications5+ years in HR field.Confidence as the sole HR person managing payroll and administrative support.Comfortable posting on LinkedIn and coordinating basic website updates.Work Environment

This position is onsite in Madison, offering significant room for creativity as the first HR role within the company. With approximately 40 employees, the company is poised for growth, potentially leading to a promotion to HR Manager.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $40.00/hr.
