HR Generalist
Job Description

Ōnin Staffing is actively hiring a Human Resources Generalist to support our clients growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys a collaborative environment and is passionate about driving organizational effectiveness through sound HR practices. You’ll work closely with the HR Director and leadership to deliver high-quality HR services and solutions to support our mission and team.

Direct Hire OpportunityPay rate: $52-61k/yr.Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:15am to 4:15pm.

Key Responsibilities:Assist in developing, implementing, and communicating HR policies and procedures, including maintaining an up-to-date and accessible staff handbook.Advise executives and managers on HR matters with sound judgment, even in cases where there is little precedent.Manage employee onboarding and orientation programs to foster a positive and mission-aligned workplace culture.Oversee relationships with temporary staffing agencies—ensuring quality hires, maintaining fill rates, and negotiating competitive vendor rates.Administer employee benefits and assist in the renewal process.Support employee relations, conflict resolution, terminations, investigations, and disciplinary procedures in coordination with leadership.Assist in the development and delivery of staff training and professional development programs.Manage Worker’s Compensation cases from incident reporting through closure, ensuring compliance and timely documentation.Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accreditation requirements for all HR functions.Participate in DECI’s Safety Committee and contribute to overall workplace safety initiatives.Support special events such as staff recognition and DECI anniversaries.Provide occasional backup for front-desk and payroll functions.


Work Experience
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field and 3–5 years of HR experience; or Master’s degree and 2 years’ experience; or 7+ years of progressive HR experience.PHR certification is a plus.Knowledge of employment law, HR policies, benefits, and employee relations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with employees at all levels.Experience working with temporary staffing vendors is a strong advantage.Detail-oriented with strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
