Responsibilities

The HR Generalist supports the daily functions of the Human Resources department in a manufacturing setting. This role is responsible for administering HR policies, supporting employee relations, managing recruitment and onboarding, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company standards. This role has the potential of supporting multiple sites/locations. The HR Generalist reports directly to the Regional HR Leader.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Relations: Address employee concerns, conduct investigations, and support a positive work environment.Recruitment & Onboarding: Coordinate hiring efforts, conduct interviews, and support new hire orientation and onboarding processes as needed.Policy Administration: Implement and enforce HR policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.Payroll Processing: Verify employee hours weekly, maintain detailed payroll records, and resolve employee discrepancies or inquiries related to payroll.Performance Management: Support supervisors in performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions.Training & Development: Assist in identifying training needs and coordinating employee development programs.HRIS & Records Management: Maintain accurate employee records and utilize HR systems for data entry and reporting.Compliance: Ensure adherence to OSHA, EEO, FMLA, and other regulatory requirements.Engagement & Culture: Promote employee engagement initiatives and support diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.

 

Qualifications

Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong interpersonal and communication skillsKnowledge of labor laws and HR best practicesAbility to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environmentProficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP) and Microsoft OfficeProblem-solving and conflict resolution skills

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred2–5 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial settingHR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus Additional Info
