Purpose :
The human resource generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting designated geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
A bachelor's degree and five+ years of Human Resources experience preferredProfessional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred
Essential Functions:

Responsible for FMLA administration, managing requests and sending required documentation per the federal law requirements. Assists with various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems. Monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary. Assist with benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees. Develops and maintains affirmative action program; accesses other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations. Assists with recruitment effort for exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees; assists with new-employee orientations; monitors career pathing program, writes and places advertisements. Handles employee relations counseling, investigations, and exit interviewing as requested. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars. Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database. Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.Customer Service, Communication, Training
Provides excellent customer service support to internal and external customers. Develops communication tools to enhance understanding of the company’s HR policies and procedures. Assists with the creation and implementation of HR policies and procedures, manuals and forms. Creates and conducts presentations using audiovisual tools, including PowerPoint and videos as requested.Provides training and support to HR staff, home office associates and the community staff.The job description provides a framework for the job; other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Working Conditions (travel, hours, environment):
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Able to work full-time and maintain regular, reliable attendance. Travel may be requested on occasion.Physical/Sensory Requirements (with or without the aid of mechanical devices):
Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
