Description We are looking for a dedicated HR Generalist to join our team in Houston, Texas. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for a bilingual individual with strong attention to detail who is eager to contribute to employee relations, benefits administration, and HR compliance within the construction industry. Responsibilities: • Assist employees with benefit inquiries and provide guidance on available options. • Address and resolve employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion. • Manage timekeeping systems and respond to employee questions regarding attendance records. • Ensure compliance with HR policies and employment laws, including FMLA regulations. • Perform accurate data entry for HR records and maintain organized documentation. • Serve as a resource for Spanish-speaking employees to facilitate effective communication. • Support clerical tasks and entry-level HR functions within the department. • Collaborate with management to improve HR processes and address workforce needs. • Coordinate employee services and assist in onboarding procedures. Requirements • Proficiency in both English and Spanish for effective communication. • Familiarity with benefit administration and employee relations practices. • Knowledge of compliance standards, including FMLA and relevant regulations. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in clerical tasks. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. • Experience in data entry and maintaining accurate HR records. • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with employees and management. • Prior experience in the construction industry is a plus but not required.
