Job Description:
We’re looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our Nordic HR team and support our employees across the Nordic countries. In this key role, you’ll provide expert advice on local employment law and day-to-day employment matters, while also supporting payroll processes in collaboration with our external providers.
Reporting to the Nordic HR Manager, you’ll work closely with the HR Business Partner team and line managers, acting as the primary HR contact for the Nordics. As the local HR expert, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring compliance, driving HR initiatives, and supporting our people and business success across the region. You will also act as HR partner for Wood Nailing Production locally in Denmark. Key responsibilities include:
You’ll work closely with the HR Business Partner team and local management to provide day-to-day operational support, including:
Providing guidance on employment law, contracts, redundancy, dismissal, and sickness
Managing payroll, time registration systems and benefits offering; supporting staff and liaising with outsourced payroll/benefits providers
Ownership of all Nordic people policies and procedures, documentations, ensuring they are kept up to date and aligned with local best practices ensuring an inclusive environment for all.
Acting as Secretary of the Workers Council: managing agendas, minutes, and elections
Supporting managers with employee relations issues (performance, sickness, disciplinary, etc.) focusing on Operations.
Coordinating onboarding activities and enhancing the employee experience
Autonomously drive HR processes for your areas such as talent reviews, performance calibration and compensation cycles for defined business areas.
Develop meaningful relationships with key people in your area, and wider business, to be a credible partner that challenges and questions to deliver business change.
Playing an active role in our Diversity & Inclusion strategy through local initiatives
Preparing and analyzing reports and HR metrics to support strategic decisions
Supporting the HR Manager and Divisional HR Team on key HR Projects
Acting as a culture ambassador by promoting company values across all offices
Position skills and experience requirements include:
We’re looking for an experienced and emotionally intelligent team player who is ready to grow. You should have:
A Bachelor's degree or similar in Human Resources or a related field
Solid knowledge of Danish employment law, payroll, and Collective Agreements (Dansk Industri)
Minimum of 5 years of Experience from a similar role in HR
A results-oriented mindset with a knack for prioritizing effectively & continuous improvement mindset
Ability to work autonomously with a structured and proactive approach
Proactive attitude with strong decision-making abilities—even in ambiguous situations
Excellent Danish and English communication skills (both written and spoken)
High cultural awareness and emotional intelligence
