HR Director
Description We are looking for an experienced HR Director to oversee human resources operations within a healthcare setting in Grass Valley, California. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to lead strategic HR initiatives and foster alignment between organizational goals and employee engagement. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in employee relations, workforce planning, and HR compliance, while serving as a trusted advisor to leadership. Responsibilities: • Provide strategic leadership in human resources management, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and employee needs. • Oversee employee relations, resolving workplace issues and fostering a positive and productive environment. • Manage benefit functions, including design and administration, to support employee satisfaction and retention. • Ensure compliance with HR policies, regulations, and labor laws across all levels of the organization. • Lead organizational development initiatives, including training programs and workforce planning strategies. • Collaborate with executive leadership to implement evidence-based HR practices and drive business success. • Direct compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitive and equitable structures. • Act as a change agent, championing new HR initiatives and programs to enhance organizational effectiveness. • Supervise the HR team, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment. • Develop integrated solutions in partnership with Centers of Expertise to address HR-related challenges. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of HR or leadership experience, or 10 years of relevant experience without a degree. • Demonstrated expertise in two or more HR specialties, such as compensation, benefits, employee relations, or talent acquisition. • Proven experience in employee relations, including conflict resolution and policy application. • Strong knowledge of recruitment processes, training delivery, and benefits administration. • Ability to develop and execute workforce planning strategies aligned with organizational goals. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with leadership and employees. • Master’s degree or certifications (e.g., PHR, SPHR) preferred but not required. • Familiarity with HR compliance standards and labor regulations within the healthcare industry.
