HR Director
Description Robert Half is partnering with a well-established and prestigious healthcare organization to seek a strategic, hands-on Human Resources Director to lead all HR operations and support business initiatives set forth by executive leadership. This is a direct-permanent leadership role responsible for driving HR strategy and compliance, while fostering a positive and productive work environment across multiple office locations. Key Responsibilities: Lead full-cycle recruitment for all office locations, including staffing needs assessments with department managers. Oversee all employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, LTD, and 401(k); collaborate with leadership on broker selection and plan design. Monitor compensation trends to ensure competitiveness in the LA metro area and maintain internal equity. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state (including California), and local regulations. Design and recommend retention strategies to reduce turnover and reward performance. Provide leadership coaching, resolve employee relations issues, and support talent development across the organization. Represent the company in interactions with unemployment and workers’ compensation agencies. Oversee safety initiatives and ensure OSHA compliance through leadership of the Safety Committee. Manage all leave of absence programs including FMLA and related state leaves. Review and guide performance management processes, including progressive discipline and terminations. Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team; conduct regular performance evaluations for direct reports. Promote a culture of respect, accountability, and continuous improvement. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience, with leadership responsibilities in a similar environment. Strong understanding of California labor law, HR compliance, and benefits administration. Experience handling sensitive employee relations matters with discretion and sound judgment. Proven ability to coach leaders, manage change, and influence across departments. Effective communicator with a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset.
