The Data Governance, Reporting, Analytics, Automation, and AI team for HR at Stanley Black & Decker is seeking a highly skilled HR Data & Analytics Lead Developer to drive innovation in data engineering, analytics, automation, management, and governance. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and integrations to ensure accurate, secure, and timely access to HR data across the organization. You will collaborate closely with the HR Technology and IT infrastructure teams to deliver impactful solutions.
Beyond foundational data strategy, you will enhance Power BI capabilities, elevate executive dashboards, and develop actionable insights for leadership. Your work will empower data-driven decisions in areas such as workforce strategy, planning, compensation & benefits, talent acquisition, performance management, and employee engagement. This role requires a combination of strong technical expertise in data engineering and strategic experience working with large, cross-functional datasets.

Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT processes for data from multiple systems, including Workday, to support data-driven decision-making.Implement robust data models and pipelines optimized for reporting and analytics, ensuring data quality, reliability, and security in Snowflake.Develop pipelines and testing automation to maintain HR data quality and integrity across multiple data sources.Collaborate with HR business partners and HR CoE leads to understand data requirements and deliver reliable solutions.Work with technical teams to build a best-in-class data environment and technology stack for People DataEnsure data integrity, quality, consistency, security, and compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).Design and implement secure processes for handling sensitive information while maintaining access controls and confidentiality.Automate manual reporting and processes to improve data accessibility across the HR employee lifecycle.Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues efficiently.Contribute to tech stack evaluations and migrations, particularly around data capabilities and API integrations.Incorporate external data sources into internal datasets for comprehensive analysis.Manage and optimize platform architecture and performance optimization.Stay updated on emerging trends in data engineering and HR/People Analytics domains.Qualifications
5+ years of experience in an HR Data Engineer role, leading HR data engineering transformations and implementing data pipelines and solutions in the People Analytics/HR domain.Strong understanding of HR data and employee lifecycle processes (e.g., talent acquisition, workforce planning, engagement, external benchmarking).Proficiency in HCM data architecture, models, and pipelines, with experience designing and implementing data integrations and ETLs with Workday.Experience designing and automating data and analytics solutions to provide insights and recommendations at scale.Proficiency in tools such as Alteryx, SQL, R/Python, and ETL platforms.Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements related to data management.Experience working in environments requiring strict confidentiality and handling of sensitive data.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.A degree with a quantitative focus (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering) is a plus.We Don’t Just Build The World, We Build Innovative Technology Too.
