HR Business Partner

ROLE PURPOSE

 Align and implement HR strategies to drive business outcomes and organizational value.Foster a high-performance culture through effective talent management and succession planning.Champion employee experience across the full employee lifecycle, promoting engagement, inclusion, and development.Position Syngenta as an Employer of Choice by enhancing the workplace environment and retaining top talent.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

 Partner with business leaders to understand strategic priorities and provide HR solutions that address talent, structure, and capability needs.Collaborate and deliver best practice HR solutions, aligning with global standards and partnering with local and regional CoEs and relevant BP colleagues.Monitor and address HR compliance, ensuring adherence to local regulations and standards while managing business risk arising from employment liability.Contribute and enhance organizational effectiveness, participating in local or regional HR projects and initiatives as assigned.Drive and manage additional projects, spearheading topics such as diversity and company events as directed by Country HR Head.Partner and collaborate with L&D and other HR functions, enabling targeted learning interventions, Individual Development Plans (IDPs), and leadership pipeline building activities.Embed and promote company values, priority behaviors and leadership framework across teams, fostering a culture of excellence and integrity.Support and guide performance management cycles, ensuring fairness, coaching opportunities, and a robust feedback culture throughout the organization.Build and maintain relationships with external regulators and government institutions, fostering positive interactions and ensuring compliance.Manage and optimize competitive compensation and benefits packages, collaborating with CoEs to continuously attract and retain top talent.Establish, coordinate, and manage personnel budgets, aligning financial resources with organizational needs and strategic goals.Support and guide performance management cycles, ensuring fairness, coaching opportunities, and a robust feedback culture throughout the organization.Champion and implement diversity, equity & inclusion, creating a more inclusive and supportive work environment.Ensure Recruitment process flows smoothly/Resource planningIdentify and nurture high-potential employees for succession planning.Manage employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.  Ensure all HR practices and processes comply with local labor laws, regulatory requirements, and company policies.Promote a positive employee experience and engagement and drive the retention initiatives.Support organizational change initiatives and cultural transformation efforts.Excellent role model of the Syngenta leadership qualities - Collaboration, Courage, Curiosity and Accountability and promote Syngenta’s priority behaviors.

Qualifications

Knowledge, experience & capabilities

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management. MBA is a plus.Experience: Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in Human Resource Management, including 3-5 years in an HRBP role.Proven experience partnering with business leaders in a multinational environment.Languages: Proficiency in English

Critical Knowledge:

Deep understanding of HR functions; talent management, employee relations, change management, compensation & benefits.      Strong command of talent management with a deep understanding of internal and external talent landscapes.Sound knowledge of local labor laws, employment regulations, and Industrial Relations practices

Critical Skills:

Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilityExcellent Communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret HR metrics and convert data into actionable insights.Leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.High emotional intelligence, adaptability, and proactive problem-solving orientation
