CSI operates 300+ company-owned service stations, with approximately 3,000 employees in California, Washington, and Oregon. The HR Business Partner role is part of CSI’s HR team and is responsible for delivering primary HR support to business leaders and employees. This role provides guidance and support across key areas such as policy interpretation, disciplinary process, coaching, and complex employee relations matters. Join us and make an impact! **Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:** + Primary HR support for assigned client groups. Supports business leaders and station managers in addressing people issues across company-owned service stations. Partners with other HR team members and 3rd party vendors to answer employee questions and resolve issues related to compensation, benefits, and recruitment. + Provides guidance on policy interpretation, performance, conflict management, and disciplinary issues. Supports employee concerns related to policy violations and complex investigations in partnership with employee relations specialists, legal & management. + Provides proactive coaching to stations managers and business leaders to mitigate employee and workplace concerns. + Supports managers with people development and talent pipeline management. Partners with internal teams to ensure managers can maintain an appropriate talent pipeline. Counsel hiring managers on salary recommendations. + Conducts new leader onboarding and ad-hoc HR training as needed by the business. + Provides guidance related to wage & hour compliance and leave of absence management. Supports interactive dialogues for accommodation requests. + Maintains knowledge of legal regulations and laws as they apply to their client territory. + Maintains data in the HR system and provides ad-hoc training for managers on proper data input processes. + Supports the business with acquisitions and divestiture of stations as needed. + Develops effective business relationships with station personnel, internal teams, vendors and customers. + Conducts station visits to engage in-person with station employees and managers on occasion and as needed. **Required Qualifications:** + 3+ years of Human Resources experience. + Bachelor’s degree in human resources business, or a related field + Excellent verbal and written communication, capable of effectively presenting data insights and collaborating with various stakeholders across different groups. + Well organized, with ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities and high volume of work. + Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. + Experience with HR Information Systems (Workday is a plus), reporting and data analysis. + Ability to travel for business meetings on the West Coast and to stations within zone assignments as needed. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Master's degree in human resources, Business, or a related field. + Prior experience providing HR business partner support in a fast-paced, quick-serve business with 200+ locations, or retail industry. + Working knowledge of legal policies & procedures related to employment practices in California, Oregon, and/or Washington. + Multilingual. **Relocation Options:** Northern CA Location (Preferred Location): Relocation will not be considered. Candidates must reside within 30-mile radius of San Ramon CA and must be able to travel into the office on regular basis. Southern CA Location (Secondary Location): Relocation will not be considered.
