As the single point of contact for our client's Engineering Faculty, you'll be at the heart of strategic HR delivery, working closely with senior academic leaders to drive people excellence across this dynamic environment.Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnership: Act as the dedicated HR Business Partner for the Engineering Faculty, building exceptional stakeholder relationshipsComplex Employee Relations: Lead on sophisticated ER casework, providing expert guidance to Senior LeadersOrganisational Design: Drive major restructure projects, including business case development and implementationPolicy Navigation: Guide clients through complex university policies and systemsRelationship Building: Establish and maintain strong partnerships across all levels of the organisationWhat We're Looking For
Essential:
Relationship Building Excellence: Dynamic personality with proven ability to build rapport and influence at senior levelsComplex ER Expertise: Substantial experience managing sophisticated employee relations cases (disciplinaries, grievances, TUPE, etc.)Change Management: Strong track record in large-scale organisational change and restructuring projectsAcademic Sector Knowledge: Understanding of higher education environment and its unique challengesStrategic Thinking: Ability to translate HR strategy into practical solutionsHighly Desirable:
CIPD qualification or equivalentExperience in matrix organisationsPrevious university or research institution experienceSuccession planning and talent management expertiseWhy This Role?
