HR Business Partner

Lovelace Medical Center is an acute care hospital with 263 licensed beds, providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, stroke care, radiology and oncology services.

POSITION SUMMARY 

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employee and management in designated business units. The HRBP serves as a consultant to management on human resources-related issues. The successful HRBP will act as an employee champion and change agent. The HRBP assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with the HR department and business management. The HRBP seeks to develop integrated solutions. The HRBP formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP responsibilities will include an assigned number of departments and employees. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit’s financial position, it’s midrange plans, it’s culture and it’s competition.

Responsibilities

Partners and consults with leaders of business units to integrate Human Resources best practices into business strategies and objectives. Partners and/ or coaches leaders to create and deliver action plans that will have a direct impact on employee retention and engagement. Partners with leadership to provide superior organizational development consulting services that will advance the Clients’ Organizational needs. Identifies training and development needs of assigned business area and works with the Training Department to develop and implement solutions. Delivers training programs to managers and employees to support organizational growth and development strategies. Leads committees and works groups charged with implementing organization, and Department level improvement strategies and supporting every day operational process changes and support. Monitors the work environments, identifying employee relations trends, issues and areas for improvement to promote a positive work environment- provides leadership and direction to their Business Partner Support team to respond to client needs. Assists managers in creating and tracking development and succession plans. Facilitates HR related communications within and between all levels and areas of their client. Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies. Partners with Organizational Development and other staff areas to roll-out enterprise-wide HR policies and programs, offering input and consultation.

Qualifications

Education & Experience 

Bachelor’s degree in HR management, or PHR, SPHR certification; Master’s degree preferred Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience in HR SHRM Certification preferred
