We’re now looking for an HR Business Partner who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and truly embed themselves in our supply chain environment - building strong, trust-based relationships on the ground, understanding the day-to-day operations, and becoming a valued part of the team. 

Job Description

Reporting into the Head of HR – Supply Chain and Sourcing and based at our largest distribution site in Wiri, you’ll play a key role as a trusted advisor delivering commercially sound and practical HR guidance across a broad range of areas - including employment relations, performance management, remuneration, absence management, and employee engagement. 

Drawing on your toolkit of skills and experience you will: 

Build strong relationships with your stakeholders and provide hands-on practical support across the full spectrum of HR mattersIdentify opportunities for improvement and, using data-driven insights, design and deliver strategic people initiatives that shift the dial on engagement, culture, and performanceNavigate and resolve complex employee relations issues, working collaboratively and confidently in a unionised environment Partner with leaders to deliver strategies that enhance organisational performance and grow the capability of their teams

Qualifications

While direct supply chain experience isn’t essential, we’re looking for someone with strong in-house HR experience who’s used to being on the ground, working closely with operational teams in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. 

Our wishlist: 

Solid experience in ER including confidently supporting or leading disciplinary processes, investigations, and coaching leaders through complex people matters Confidence to influence strategic direction, partnering with leaders to shape workforce decisions that support both people and performance. Solid knowledge of NZ employment legislation and best practice Excellent interpersonal skills Strong problem solver 

You don’t need to tick every traditional HR box to thrive in this role. We value smart, people-focused thinkers who know how to get things done, build trust, and find better ways forward - even if they don’t follow the ‘textbook’ HR path.
