Position Summary
+ Gas Turbine Fuel System Division has an open role of a Human Resources Business Partner for our San Diego, CA facility (Sorrento Valley). This position will lead HR function for the site and will report directly to the Gas Turbine Division HR Manager.
+ The site has approximately 100 employees and the incumbent will partner with business leaders (functional and operational) from assigned areas to align HR strategies with organizational goals, acting as a strategic partner to drive a positive work culture and support organizational growth.
+ Key responsibilities include employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, data analytics, talent management, compensation, and engagement initiatives. We seek talent that has aspiration to grow into an HR Manager role in the future.
Responsibilities
Employee Relations:
+ Conducts and documents thorough investigations of employee relations issues
+ Provides balanced guidance to managers and other stakeholders in resolving employee relations issues and managing low-performing employees
+ Utilizes the GTFSD Employee Handbook when making recommendations for disciplinary action
+ Partners with managers to prepare and deliver performance management tools to employees as required, such as coaching sessions, disciplinary actions, letters of concern, and performance improvement plans
Training, Worker’s Compensation and Leaves of Absence:
+ Monitor progress toward required training completions and organizes sessions to facilitate completion for non-computer employees. Coordinates on-site training events by enrolling employees in required courses and tracking completion
+ Maintains site Training Matrix in preparation for customer audits
+ Tracks, maintains and manages all items related to Worker’s Compensation
+ Tracks, maintains and manages all items related to Leave of Absences for FMLA, CFRA, ADA, PDL
Recruitment:
+ Manages full-cycle recruitment for direct labor manufacturing positions and all temporary positions including managing online systems for applicants, scheduling interviews, interfacing with staffing agencies, hiring managers, and candidate
+ Partners with hiring managers to create job descriptions and to make hiring recommendations
+ Interfaces with Parker Talent Acquisition team to fill full-time, exempt level roles
+ Maintains time to fill metrics in accordance with site targets
General Human Resources Duties:
+ Working knowledge of all employees related benefit programs
+ Assists with the Open Enrollment process
+ Develop accurate and thorough reports upon request to support processes such as payroll, performance management, and employee population diagnostics
+ Assists in the administration of HR processes such as performance management and compensation planning
+ Coordinates employee engagement events, quarterly all hands meetings, service awards, holiday events, etc.
+ Conducts new hire orientations and exit interviews for all level employees
+ Performs special projects related to HR and at times is the HR representative on cross functional teams
+ Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
+ Education: a bachelor’s degree is required; the ideal candidate has studied Human Resources, Psychology, Business/Management, Organizational Management, or related HR areas of study.
+ Minimum 3 years of experience in aerospace and/or manufacturing environment.
+ Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend solutions aligned with business needs.
+ Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external stakeholders
+ Must have excellent employee relations, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution experience.
+ Certification: SHRM or equivalent is preferred

Competitive Compensation:
+ Pay range of $90,000 to $110,000/annually
+ Participation in Annual Incentive Program
