Responsibilities and Duties
Support the HR Manager in driving HR strategic initiatives across the assigned functions.Providing strategic and tactical HR advice and guidance to business unit people leaders in the overall approach to people management, workforce development, and employee engagementPartner with HRIS to develop routine and ad-hoc reports as needed for lead analysis and validation of data to ensure accuracy to provide critical HR information to the businessUnderstanding the requirements and demands of the organisation, translating them into requirements of the HR function to deliver with the support of the Employee Services, and Centres of Excellence teamsProviding strategic advice, strategy development and execution to business function and people leaders, ensuring day-to-day operational HR activities are directed to the transactional services domainPartnering with business unit people leaders to develop workforce planning strategies that align to the business function priorities and overall site strategy, ensuring people implications of business decisions are understoodEnabling effective partnerships and stakeholder focus at a local level to deliver on business needsLeveraging strategic frameworks, tools, and processes to drive high performanceEnabling people managers to play an active role in activating people initiatives and programs along the entire employee life cycle to support workforce development and engagementPerform other duties as assigned including payroll backup and administration duties as requiredReview and approve job descriptions.Provide input to the Compensation Department regarding salary reviews, employee promotions, and procedures for global total rewards programsEnsure Human Relations policies and practices comply with the applicable labour laws/contractsParticipate in planning & leading the talent review process and translating business and talent development needs to HR requirements; define short-term and long-term plans & programs and initiatives to achieve objectivesAbout You
Ideally you will be tertiary qualified in an HR discipline. You have a minimum of 2 years generalist experience from a strategic and tactical perspective.
Key to your success will be proven experience in providing guidance and advice to key business stakeholders with regards to all HR related activity, workforce planning and ER. You are also able to effectively navigate the complexities of human resources, organisational development, and the employee relations lifecycle.
You have a hand-on style, strong stakeholder engagement skills and a demonstrated ability to develop, build and maintain effective working relationships. You have excellent attention to detail, communication skills and a keen interest in supporting business leaders.
