Description
We are looking for a skilled Benefits Coordinator to join the valued team of our client within the healthcare space located in Franklin, Tennessee. In this long-term contract role, you will play a crucial part in managing and analyzing employee benefits programs while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The job involves reviewing and auditing admission documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness, as well as confirming patient benefits and demographic details within the patient accounting system. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization within the healthcare and social assistance industry.
Responsibilities:
+ Administer employee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
+ Manage open enrollment processes, including communication and education efforts for employees.
+ The job involves reviewing and auditing admission documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness, as well as confirming patient benefits and demographic details within the patient accounting system.
+ Additionally, the role provides financial counseling to patients and/or guarantors, including discussing payment responsibilities such as copays, deductibles, or coverage limitations, and collecting any outstanding amounts.
+ A portion of the role also requires explaining benefit details and financial commitments to patients and/or guarantors.
+ For those seeking financial assistance, the position handles income and expense verification and facilitates the completion of necessary financial disclosure forms.
+ The position manages payment arrangements, including completing promissory notes for patients, processes adjustment forms for charity or administrative requests, and ensures appropriate approvals.
+ Daily logs—such as upfront collection, charity, and admin adjustment logs—are updated regularly and reviewed weekly with leadership.
+ This individual will interpret system-generated data to identify next steps and implement strategic, time-sensitive actions to secure payments efficiently.
+ Collaboration with other departments may be required to ensure processes align with organizational goals.
+ Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including FMLA, by monitoring and updating policies as needed.
+ Evaluate vendor proposals and assist in selecting providers that align with organizational goals.
+ Maintain accurate records and documentation related to compensation and benefits programs.
+ Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee understanding of available benefits.
+ Assist in resolving complex benefits issues and disputes, ensuring timely resolution
Requirements • Proven experience in compensation and benefits administration, preferably within the healthcare industry.
• Strong knowledge of benefits coordination and analysis, including compliance with FMLA and other relevant regulations.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proficiency in analyzing data and creating detailed reports.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration and employee support.
• Familiarity with benefits enrollment systems and processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. TalentMatch®
