Robert Half is seeking a highly organized and service-oriented HR Assistant to provide key administrative support to the Human Resources team. As an HR Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of HR functions, ensuring that employees and leadership are supported with professionalism and efficiency. This is an excellent entry point into the world of HR for those passionate about people and processes.
Key Responsibilities
+ Assist HR leadership with daily tasks, such as maintaining employee records, processing paperwork, and responding to inquiries.
+ Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing necessary documents, conducting orientations, and managing new-hire setups.
+ Act as the first point of contact for employee questions regarding HR procedures, policies, and benefits.
+ Coordinate interviews and communicate with candidates during the recruitment process.
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.
+ Support benefits administration by processing enrollment, changes, and terminations.
+ Handle general administrative tasks, such as data entry, scheduling, and maintaining the HR calendar.
+ Assist in planning and executing HR-related initiatives, including training sessions, employee recognition events, and wellness activities.
+ Process employee changes such as promotions, salary updates, or terminations in HR systems.
+ Perform other HR-related duties as assigned to support the broader team.
Requirements
+ 1+ year of experience in an administrative support role, preferably in Human Resources or a related field.
+ Strong organizational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail.
+ Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and general aptitude for HRIS systems.
+ Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee data.
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
+ Experience or knowledge of HR practices and policies is a bonus but not required—a willingness to learn is key!
