Housing Stabilization Coordinator Part time
**Employment Type:** Part time **Shift:** Evening Shift **Description:** **Position Purpose:** The Housing Stabilization Coordinator is responsible for supporting individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness in obtaining and maintaining stable housing. The coordinator works collaboratively with clients, landlords, and service providers to ensure housing retention and promote long-term stability through individualized planning, resource coordination, and skill-building. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** + Conduct housing assessments and develop individualized housing stabilization plans. + Assist clients with securing and maintaining safe, affordable housing, including support with applications, lease signings, and moving logistics. + Provide ongoing case management to address barriers to housing retention, such as income instability, behavioral health issues, or landlord-tenant disputes. + Coordinate services such as employment assistance, benefits navigation, mental health treatment, and substance use support. + Build and maintain relationships with landlords and property managers to expand housing options and support successful tenancies. + Educate clients on tenant rights and responsibilities, budgeting, and independent living skills. + Monitor housing stability and intervene early to prevent eviction or loss of housing. + Maintain accurate, timely case documentation and records in accordance with program and funder requirements. + Participate in community coordination meetings and outreach events. + Ensure services are provided in a trauma-informed, culturally competent, and person-centered manner. **MINIMUM QUALILFICATIONS** + Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, public administration, or a High School/GED and 4 years of human service experience + Experience working with homeless populations or in housing-related services preferred. + Act 33/34/73 clearances + Pre-Employment Drug Screen **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS AND BENEFITS:** **WORK SCHEDULE: This is a Non-Exempt (hourly) position.** 3pm- 11 pm (Friday & Saturday) with flexible days depending upon schedule coverage needs. **Great Benefit Package: (Benefits start Day 1 of employment):** 403B with employer match; Paid Time Off (PTO); Medical, Dental, Vision; Life Insurance; Paid Holiday Days; Plus more……… **ABOUT PITTSBURGH MERCY** We’re a community-based health and human services organization using person-centered care to treat our area’s most vulnerable populations.
