Housing Referral Assistant

Akima Intra-Data (AID) is looking for a Housing Referral Assistant to work in Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi. Responsible for preparing and issuing housing units for Keesler AFB incoming personnel.
**Responsibilities**
+ Oversee and maintain Keesler’s Rental Partnership Program.
+ Communicate with property managers and homeowners to stay informed about when property is rented, sold or otherwise becomes unavailable/ available.
+ Ensures that housing units are properly prepared for issue to new arrivals to include housing units have the proper furnishings according to established standards.
+ Maintains Housing Referral information on the Virtual Out-processing System.
+ Approve eligibility for Military Members moving in to Base Housing.
+ Knowledge of housing audit or survey requirements and procedures to perform regular or periodic reviews of local housing management operations.
+ Skill in interviewing to obtain factual information and to explain housing policies, relocation assistance, and local procedures to USAF military members.
+ Ability to analyze interrelated issues of effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity, and develop recommendations to solve problems.
+ Knowledge of USAF housing management instructions, policies, principles, concepts, and methodologies, including AFI 32-6000.
+ Conduct other duties as assigned under the Housing Referral Program.
**Qualifications**
+ Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
+ Must possess valid State Driver’s License and the ability to obtain and maintain a government vehicle driver’s license.
+ Must meet the requirements for issuance of a computer network account (favorable National Agency Check (NACI) and successfully complete computer security training) and any required security clearances.
+ Three years in USAF Housing Office or three years working in a professional office environment with two years of customer service experience.
+ Three years of experience working with eMH (Enterprise Military Housing and Homes.mil is desirable.
+ Must have demonstrated written communication skills including preparation of reports, PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets, etc.
+ Must be able to demonstrate proficient use of English grammar and spelling.
+ High level of personal skills to include mediation training.
+ Must be tactful and courteous to people and be able to effectively resolve housing issues.
+ Ability to work without supervisor and willingness to work together as a team.
